At Branching Minds ASD, we understand that every child’s journey is unique. Families come to us at many different stages, some are beginning to notice differences, some are seeking clarity through an autism assessment, while others are looking for ongoing support for their child and family. Whatever stage you are at, we are here to walk alongside you.

We provide specialist online autism assessments for children and young people aged 2–18 across Scotland and throughout the UK, delivered by a caring and experienced multidisciplinary team of Health and Educational Professionals with extensive experience in autism and neurodevelopmental differences.

Alongside assessments, we also offer practical, compassionate support both with and without a formal diagnosis. This includes guidance for parents, emotional and behavioural support, post-diagnostic support, and tailored strategies to help children, young people and families feel more understood, supported and confident moving forward. At Branching Minds ASD, we believe that support should not begin or end with a diagnosis.

We recently contacted Pamela at Branching Minds when we were really struggling with our 7-year-old daughter. We felt completely overwhelmed and at our wits end, especially as the NDAS system was failing us. Our daughter had already been on the waiting list for two years, and we were told it could be at least another two years before she would receive an assessment. During this time, our daughter’s behaviour at home and school was becoming increasingly challenging, and she had even been placed on a reduced school timetable. From the very beginning, Pamela was compassionate, understanding, and incredibly supportive. She took the time to genuinely listen to our concerns and made us feel heard and understood throughout the process.

Pamela was also very flexible in working around our family’s needs, which made such a difference during a very stressful time. Alongside her excellent team of Occupational Therapists and Clinical Psychologists, the assessment process was carried out thoroughly, professionally, and efficiently. They confirmed our suspicions regarding our daughter’s autism in a sensitive and reassuring manner.

Thanks to Branching Minds, we finally have clarity and understanding, which has allowed both us and our daughter’s school to begin exploring the right support and resources to help her thrive.

There is clearly a serious issue with the delays within the NDAS system, and for families who simply cannot wait 4+ years for answers and support, I cannot recommend Branching Minds ASD Specialists highly enough. Their professionalism, empathy, and expertise have been life-changing for our family.

  • Access to specialist services that require a formal diagnosis
  • Support systems that were previously unavailable to the family
